Criteria for all Match Officials
In order to be considered for promotion, all match officials are required to have the following in place;
- Be a registered referee for the current season.
- Ensure that you have a good level of administration.
- Ensure that you are regularly available for County Cup fixtures throughout the season.
There are several other things that will be required of match officials, however these differ for each level of promotion and further details can be found below.
Level 6 to Level 5 County Referee to Senior County Referee
- Be a registered referee for the current season.
- Ensure that you have a good level of administration.
- Act as a Referee in at least 25 fixtures. (all games must be in open-age football)
- Act as an Assistant Referee on at least 5 fixtures. (all games must be in open-age football)
- Complete three pieces of FA Refereeing CPD as directed by the Middlesex FA Referee Department.
- Complete a Laws of the Game exam throughout the promotion period.
- Receive two visits from a Match Day Coach that will be appointed by the County FA throughout your 25 fixtures.
Please note that there is no time limit to complete the individual game count, however the FA Refereeing CPD and the Laws of the Game exam must be completed within 12 months of you receiving your promotion.
Referees who complete the criteria for promotion to Level 5 will only be promoted should this be approved by the Middlesex FA Referees Committee.
