I hope you are all enjoying the nice weather we seem to have back! Let's hope it stays warm but not too hot!
A lot of information to cover off this week for the update, please ensure that you read through everything in great detail and should you have any questions, please email referee@middlesexfa.com
Referee Registration
Registrations are continuing to trickle in. Please remember that in order to remain qualified you have to re-register each season once your current registration expires on 31st May. This means that we still have 349 officials that are not registered for the 2025/26 season and those officials have all been emailed this evening to personally remind them to register for the new season.
PLEASE NOTE THAT UNLESS YOU ARE REGISTERED, YOU SHOULD OF BE OFFICIATING IN PRE-SEASON FRIENDLIES.
Referee Promotion
DEADLINE - 20th JULY 2025!!!!
Please note that there is a strict deadline for Referee Promotions this season! In order for us to ensure that everyone has access to the relevant systems in time for 1st August we have placed a deadline of Sunday 20th July 2025 for officials wishing to apply for promotion.
Details of all the promotion pathways can be found HERE and should you wish to apply for promotion, you can do so by clicking HERE
Please note that applications that are made after the 20th July 2025 will not be approved or commence until the October 2025 promotion window.
Discipline & Misconduct Reporting
The FA has now updated the process for reporting Cautions, Dismissals and Misconduct at grassroots level up to and including Step 5 of the National League System.
Helpful guidance on how to report misconduct and Red & Yellow cards can be found HERE
Patrick McCrossan
Sadly we have to share that Patrick McCrossan recently passed away. Not everyone would have known Patrick, however for those that did, please see the message below from his Family.
Laws of the Game - Process & Procedure
With the annual update of the Laws of the Game changes being set out from the start of June, please CLICK HERE for up to date guidance from the FA on the process and procedures around the law changes.

We will also have someone from the Middlesex FA Discipline team that will be there in case there are any discipline questions that may arise.
Please book onto one of the calls

Monday, 4 August '25 2pm – 3pm
